Hello Old Friend
Alright, it's been over two months since I've posted. It would be insane to try and recap the last two months, what with the holidays and all, so I won't. Suffice it to say that the holidays were as wonderful as they could possibly be. Lily got spoiled, as did I. I crafted my arse off for the Craftster 12 Days of Christmas swap, made some great friends, and had a wonderful time.

So far this year, the fitness bug has finally bitten, which is good timing since I'm close to, if not over, my highest weight ever. I feel like I'm healthier at this weight than I was last time around, but it's still too much obviously. But Monday I just felt like it was time, and I've done really well this week. My work is doing a competition again, and the scale is finally moving in the right direction again, so things are going well. I've even got a whole goal worksheet going. Most of my rewards are massages, but at large goals (each 10% original body weight lost) I get a present, like a gym bag, clothes, or a new iPod. Then at my long-term goal (hopefully) we're going to go on a vacation. That's kind of cheating, since Gary wants to go on a vacation next year anyway, but we both need to slim down before we'll be at all comfortable on an airplane. So there's that.

Lily is still fabulous, though she's verging on two, so she's testing a lot of boundaries right now. She's incredibly verbal now, and also incredibly smart. I know I'm her mom, but I'd think so even if we weren't related. Deal with it. ;0) She's signed up for storytimes starting later this month, and she goes to the childcare center at the gym which she loves, so I think she's getting some good socialization.

On the work front, I got my old job back. It involves a cut in pay, and probably just as much stress, but at least it's stress I know, and it's smaller accounts, and it's working with people I really like, so it's totally going to be worth it. Now I just need to get through training in my replacement, and I'll be all set!

Back to working!

Thank you, thank you, thank you
It is SO nice to see a post here for a change instead of those double zeros.

Now I'm probably also a bit biased, but I think Lily's pretty advanced for her age. I heard Nanna's walker story this morning and I think that was exceptional of her.

Heck, I'm her mom and *I* was shocked she was able to do that. And I think she can do anything!!!
